Vietnam e-Visa
A Vietnam visa is a type of travel document granted by competent Vietnamese authorities, providing permission to travel to and enter Vietnam.
Vietnam grants e-visas for citizens of all countries and territories with a 90-day stay duration, for single or multiple entries.
Travelers must enter and exit Vietnam by e-visa through designated border gates: 13 international airports, 16 land border gates, and 13 sea border gates.
How to apply for Vietnam e-Visa?
From 11th November 2024, international travelers to Vietnam can apply for electronic visas through the new official Vietnam Electronic Visa Portal: https://evisa.gov.vn
Visa applications should only be made on the official website of the immigration department and not through third-party vendors.
Vietnam Visa Exemption
As of 2024, citizens of 25 countries can travel to Vietnam without having to apply for an e-visa.
Eligibility for Vietnam Visa Exemption
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date in Vietnam.
Your passport must contain at least 2 blank pages for the visa sticker and immigration stamp.
Holders of British National Overseas (BNO) passports are not eligible for the 45-day visa exemption when visiting Vietnam. Therefore, they must apply for a visa to enter the country.
APEC cardholders are exempted from Vietnam e-visa for 60 days.
Phu Quoc Island Visa Exemption
Citizens of all countries and territories are eligible for a 30-day visa exemption in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam.
Eligibility
Your passport must be valid for 6 months from your arrival date.
You must fly from an international country to Phu Quoc via the Phu Quoc International Airport. This applies to direct, indirect, and layover flights.
Your next destination can be any country, except Vietnam.
You must stay for less than 30 days and provide proof of leaving the country (return ticket) for a "Visa Exemption Stamp”.

1. Does Chôm Chôm Travel offer Vietnam e-Visa service?

2. How long is the e-visa Vietnam processing time?
The processing time is within three working days. However, it can take longer when there is a large number of applicants. We recommend you apply 10 days of working day minimum before departure.
3. Which should I apply for - single or multiple-entry visa?
This depends on your plan. You can apply for a multiple-entry visa if you wish to enter Vietnam more than one time within the registered period.
4. My e-visa was issued, but the information specified on it is wrong. How can I correct it?
The information on your e-visa must be correct and match your passport information. The e-visa once issued cannot be amended and is non-refundable. You need to apply for a new e-visa.
5. Do I need to prepare anything if I’m on the list of Vietnam visa-free countries?
You only need to make sure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months.
Note: Except for Panama and Chile which have a 90-day visa exemption, you can only stay in Vietnam from 14 to 45 days with a visa-free policy (depending on the country). If you wish to stay in Vietnam for up to 90 days, you will need to go through the e-visa application process online.
